Part 2- Kiwi Explorer vs. E3

This should give you a better idea of the more specific differences, as well as the overwhelming similarities between the two strollers.

Above- Back seat size. Travel size wipes box to give a better idea of size. The Explorer has grommet vent holes for circulation of air and 5 point harness.

Above- Explorer has a large flat tray style basket. Though not overly deep, it holds a large amount. The Explorer also comes standard with a backpack, though it is not shown. Notice also the brake style. The right brake peg is engaged and leans on the tire. The left is open allowing you to see the difference. They are ndividually operated.

The older panier (navy, above left) and newer style (charcoal, above right). The newer one has a mesh side bottle holder (one per panier, opposite sides), a plastic Phil & Ted's emblem, and is made of a different fabric. They are the same size, and both sport a zippered pocket in the flap closure (below top) and large drawstring opening (below bottom, Playtex sippy to give an idea of size).

Average size 6 year old fits with room to spare in the Explorer (below). He stated that both strollers were equally comfortable.

Above- The same wipes box in the back of the E3. On the E3 ventilation is actually mesh panels (can notice the view of the tire); it also has a 5 point harness.

kiwicompare11.jpg

Above- The E3 sports a deeper basket. It does have mesh on the sides, and a "parcel tray" (not pictured) is available. The "parcel tray" fits inside the basket, and has a mesh closed top to keep items in. Backpack no longer comes with this model. Notice the bar brake system that is along the lines of a more traditional stroller braking system; it engages both brakes at once and is locked/on in the picture.

Below- Each stroller folded, with toddler seat over top. This is how most people put it in their vehicles, it is the same size single or double this way.

2 year old in the E3 when set in position for a newborn and toddler. Notice the seat sits up higher than when set in single or toddler/toddler position.

These both work very well for a variety of kids. The E3 model of the Phil & Ted's Most Excellent Buggy is a very stylish option sporting many different features seen in most strollers today. It moves well on its 10/11 inch tires with swivel front wheel, is easily visible due to the reflective piping, folds easily with the push of a button and pull of a knob, and is a wonderful alternative for families who need a very flexible stroller.
